I’m Kristin, the one-woman team behind this bookish little corner of the internet. Though I run the business on my own from my home in Krugersdorp, Awfully Bookish is more than just a business—it’s a part of who I am.
I’ve always been a bookworm. Reading has been my quiet joy and constant companion for as long as I can remember. And somewhere along the way, I also fell in love with stationery—pens, notepads, bookmarks... all the little things that make reading feel even more magical. So I decided to bring the two together.

I don’t focus on just one genre—I believe in offering a variety of books so everyone can find something they’ll love. Each book must meet a personal set of standards before it finds a place in the shop. If I wouldn’t be proud to read it or gift it, I won’t sell it.
✍️ The Stationery
Every piece of bookish stationery is originally illustrated by me, inspired by the little things that bring me joy—like a good story and a warm cup of tea. One of my first collections celebrates exactly that: Reading & Tea. Soon, you’ll also see more fantasy-inspired pieces coming to the shop.
From bookmarks and pens to notepads, each item is designed with fellow readers in mind. And yes—there’s more to come!
